The Day Of Reckoning

The shop was open, the bikes were fuelled, lined up and ready to go. The Day of Reckoning was about to begin. The day gave the riders the opportunity to put our Triumph range through its paces, an opportunity to find their perfect dream motorcycle. The first hour was like the calm before the storm and when the riders arrived the rumble of the bikes well and truly started the day.

The Balloons were up

The shop was open

The bikes where fuelled

Lined up and ready to go

The rumble of the arriving bikes

Was a sign that

The Day of Reckoning was about to begin.

There was a great atmosphere, it was welcoming and there was a great sense camaraderie between the riders, it was like a family reunion on an epic scale.
I began to speak to some of the riders the first of these being a man called Andy Morgan; I asked him, “What is it that you like about Triumph? Andy replied “Everything“, a brief but clear reply that expressed his love for the brand; will you be taking out a bike today? “Oh yes, I will be taking out the Scrambler” answering me with a big smile on his face.

Martin Boles has ridden a bikes for over a BMW for over a decade but now feels it's time for a change, something made in England, I think Martin may have found that change after taking a ride on the Triumph Trophy.

Triumph Rider Steven Stowell was blown away after putting the Triumph Daytona through its paces.

UK Seekers and Explorers 2012 UK winner Steve Hancock
ready to take out the brand new Triumph Thunderbird for a test ride.

When I think about Triumph, I think about adventure, I think about the open road. All these thoughts were realised when I spoke to a man known as Steve Hancock. Steve was one of thirteen lucky men and women to win the Triumph Seekers and Explorers Competition back in 2012. He was the only winner out of the whole of the UK that was given the opportunity to tour around the country of Morocco on his favorite make of bike, Triumph.

The next thing I knew, a convoy of riders all putting our range to the test set out, it was a cool sight to see. On their return there were happy faces all around and I can understand why the event had, good people, good food and most importantly good bikes, what’s not to love.
